Core Truth: It’s been said that God answers prayers in one of three ways…He says “Yes,” and you receive what you ask for…or He says “No,” and you have to accept it and move on…or He says “Not yet,” and you have to be patient and wait. All three of these can certainly be true, but today we will look at each of them in a more in-depth way as we consider the following three points.

Core Truth: If we could ever actually grasp what God is really seeking to do in us as His children and what the amazing consequences of that are actually going to be, everything would be different – from how we see our problems and adversities, to how we spend our time and money, to how in general we live our daily lives.

We should defend the persecuted because:
1. Because we want to be where Jesus is working
2. Because the Bible commands us
3. Because defending religious freedom is essential to our mission strategy
4. Because the persecuted deserve our help
5. Because we can make a difference.

Core Truth: Throughout the ages God’s people have often had to live out their faith in times of great adversity and affliction. However, their examples of doing so with such amazing peace and tranquility remains a challenge to anyone today who would also live for Christ the way they did.

Core Truth: “Our prayers may be awkward. Our attempts may be feeble. But since the power of prayer is in the one who hears it and not in the one who says it, our prayers do make a difference.” Max Lucado

Core Truth: “Gratitude is a vaccine, an antitoxin, and an antiseptic. This is a most searching and true diagnosis. Gratitude can be a vaccine that can prevent the invasion of a disgruntled attitude. As antitoxins prevent the disastrous effects of certain poisons and diseases, thanksgiving destroys the poison of faultfinding and grumbling. Core Truth: Because of who we are, where we are headed, and what is waiting for us when we get there, there are some things Christ is calling us to do here and now which will make our journey far more enjoyable and our effectiveness for Him here and now far greater, while preparing for us eternal rewards beyond our dreams in the life to come.

Core Truth: God’s greatest desire for us as His children is that we come into the fullness of the joy and freedom of a life that is fully focused on Him.

Examines the attitude of Christ on His journey to the cross.

Core Truth: “Divisions in churches never begin with those full of love to the Savior. Cold hearts, unholy lives, inconsistent actions, neglected closets; these are the seeds which sow schisms in the body: but he who lives near to Jesus, wears his likeness and copies his example, will be, wherever he goes, a sacred bond, a holy link to bind the church more closely than ever together. Core Truth: While we are living in a dark and unrighteous world, we are called by Christ to live as brightly shining lights in the midst of that darkness, and to bear witness to the Truth in such ways that others will also come to know God's love and salvation.

Core Truth: Anything that takes our eyes off of Jesus Christ becomes a danger and a threat to our peace of mind, our usefulness in His kingdom, and the abundance of our eternal reward.
