Sundays
Morning
Nursery
Loving care for little ones, from newborns to preschool. The nursery is where we meet the needs of the youngest in our church family. Our time with these little ones - newborn through age three - is spent singing songs, engaging them in play, and teaching simple lessons about our Lord. This ministry allows parents to worship the Lord unencumbered. (Sundays, @ 9:15, 10:30, Room 211)
Bible Fellowship Hour
Our Bible Fellowship Hour classes (for children age three through sixth grade) provide age-appropriate Bible lessons and learning activities that are both fun and spiritually rich. The children learn about the character of God, the work of Christ, and the means of living in right relationship to Him. This is accomplished by presenting the whole counsel of God and demonstrating to children the unity, consistency, and sufficiency of the Scriptures for their lives. "[T]ell the generation to come the praises of the Lord and His strength and His wondrous works that He has done . . . that the generation to come might know them, the children who would be born, that they may arise and declare them to their children" (Psalm 78:4, 6). (Sundays @ 9:15 a.m.).
For Youth / Students
Students are exploring the Scriptures to catch the truth of God's word so that it can be applied to their everyday life. We are using Lifeway's Explore the Bible curriculum, which challenges students to live out their faith and become leaders in every sense of the word. (Sundays @ 9:15 a.m., Room 101)
Adult Bible Fellowship
Let’s face it: adulthood is challenging. Whether you are a young adult or a median adult, married, single, or newly single, you are a work in progress. You need a place to belong, a place where you can be yourself, grow into adulthood, and learn to embrace your faith. Sometimes you need guidance in starting or raising your family. Possibly you need assurance that you are making the right choices in life. Maybe you just need to be reminded of God’s love for you. (Sundays @ 9:15 a.m., Education Building). Worship Service
Our worship service features a blend of traditional and contemporary worship music and practical Bible teaching. We celebrate the Lord's Supper on the first Sunday of each month. If you are just arriving for the worship service, enter the Sanctuary from the entrance nearest Fort Hunt Road. (Sundays @ 10:30 a.m., Sanctuary)
What to wear? The Lord focuses on the heart more than on the outward appearance, and so do we. You'll find a wide variety in dress among our congregations—from casual jeans to more formal. We simply aim to dress so as not to draw attention to ourselves, but keep the focus on Jesus Christ alone.
Children’s Church
Children’s Church is a time for children (ages four thru second grade) to worship God with understanding and to have an opportunity to actively participate. Children’s Church provides creative alternatives to allow young children to worship. In Children’s Church we will explore what worship is and how God views worship. Through singing, praying, praising, giving and hearing God’s Word our children will develop a heart to worship God. Children are dismissed from the worship service in the Sanctuary, to Room 209 with the Children’s Director following the Children’s Sermon time."Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; bring an offering and come into his courts. Worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness; tremble before Him, all the earth.” (Psalm 96: 8 & 9). (Sundays @ 10:30 a.m.)
