Hold Fast Orient Trust Towards God Proclaim His Presence Experience Renewed Strength

Core Truth: Someone has very wisely said that “the Gospel is not God angrily saying ‘Turn to Me or I’ll send you to hell.’ Rather, the gospel is God’s Mercy and Grace saying “You are already on your way to hell! Turn to Me and I’ll save you!” As succinct and forthright an explanation as one could ask for, and one that the world desperately needs to hear?

How does living in Christ change our mindset?

We should defend the persecuted because:
1. Because we want to be where Jesus is working
2. Because the Bible commands us
3. Because defending religious freedom is essential to our mission strategy
4. Because the persecuted deserve our help
5. Because we can make a difference.

Core Truth: “For the believer in Jesus, every trial of suffering is an opportunity to grow in the faith, to grow in our relationship with the Lord, and to see Him work in our lives in a uniquely personal way that demonstrates His compassion, His comfort, His tender mercies, His loving kindnesses, His grace, and His endless love. Only God knows what each of us needs to experience and learn in order to be conformed to the image of His son.” (T.A. McMahon)

Core Truth: While from a human perspective the world is rapidly becoming a much darker place, the reality is that the long night of darkness is about to end and give way to the blinding radiance of our Lord’s return in power and great glory! Therefore, we as Christians are wise to remember that everything we think, do, and say will tested against that ultimate and soon-coming reality!

Core Truth – The kind of hope the Bible speaks about is never mere wishful thinking, pleasant aspirations, or aching longings. Rather, it is the unwavering realization that whatever God has promised He is able to perform and that such hope will never disappoint or delude or shame us, because of God’s love which has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit Who has been given to us. Core Truth: When we cannot solve problems, heal hurts, change circumstances or win our own battles, we must kneel in prayer, then stand to see what He will do. We must leave room for God, staying calm and giving Him time to work. – Robert J. Morgan

Core Truth: God never wastes a hurt. Whatever the difficulty you may be passing through right now, He has a purpose for it that is good - both now and in the life to come!

Core Truth: Israel wasted 40 long years wandering in the wilderness because they refused to believe that God had given them a land where everything had been prepared and that the work was completely finished. Today, we too are called to enter into the work that Christ has completed on our behalf and the only "work" left for us to do is to enter into His rest!

Core Truth: In a culture that has largely rejected the real meaning of Christmas, those who follow Christ must resist that pressure and work to sustain the true significance of the season.
