Core Truth: Those who forget the past are very apt to fall into thanklessness. If we forget the value of our heritage and the source of our blessings, it will become very easy for us to take for granted all that we have and all that we are, and begin believing that we can make our own way without God. We will also then find it easier to forget the great sacrifices of those who have given their all on our behalf.

Core Truth: God used a mother’s faith and courage to position her son inside the king’s palace so that one day He could use that very son to save His people from their long years of Egyptian bondage and oppression.

Core Truth: Everyone understands that ‘you can’t take it with you’ when you die; however, our Lord has also told us that we CAN send a great deal of what He has given us on ahead and He strongly advises us to do so.

Core Truth: Just as with Israel of old, a great danger facing us as Christians today is the danger of allowing the world’s spirit of disbelief and skepticism of God’s promises to shape our thinking, affect our decisions, and govern our lives in these times of difficulty and crisis.

Or do I choose to focus on the God Who has promised to never leave nor forsake me, no matter how big my giant seems or how loud its roar?

Core Truth: One of the most potent forces for good in the world is the example of a father who teaches his family by word and by example what it means to live with fidelity and faithfulness to Christ.

Core Truth: True peace is not merely the absence of confusion or turmoil in our lives. It is, rather, an abiding realization that no matter what difficulties we face, God is in absolute control of all things and will never leave nor forsake us.

Core Truth: While even some of the Bible's greatest heroes had times of profound doubt about the meaning of their lives, God did not abandon them or fail them. Instead, He faithfully brought them through those dark times to a victorious and highly meaningful end.

Core Truth: The God who created us did so with great forethought and purpose. Our challenge is to discover what He had in mind for us and then seek to live our lives accordingly.

Core Truth: Though often mercifully delayed for considerable periods of time, God's judgments against evil have always been sure and certain, and remain so to this very day. However, for all those who have truly put their trust in Him, absolute safety and deliverance is assured, no matter the circumstances in which they may find themselves.

Core Truth: While many fear that our nation may have passed a moral and spiritual point of no return, God's promise remains true that "if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14

Core Truth: Of all the good and bountiful gifts given to us by our Creator none is more significant or to be treasured than the gift of His Presence - the one thing that sets God's people apart from all others on the face of the earth!

Core Truth: When God decides to act - whether in the affairs of men and nations - or in the circumstances of our daily lives - He is completely self-determined and answerable to no one. However, His actions are always governed by perfect love and absolute justice.

Core Truth: As evidenced by our microwave meals, instant messages / text messages, and so many other things that require little time or patience, we live in a culture that is not good at waiting. However, God is not bound by our schedules nor impressed with our demands and the price of failing to wait for Him can be very high.

Though tithing in and of itself is not a 'cure-all' for the financial difficulties in which we may find ourselves from time to time, and while not all Christian teachers or leaders even agree that it is required of Christians today, if done in faith it can be a very important 'first step' in a Christian's journey of obedience to God, the advancing of His kingdom on the earth, and experiencing of God's blessings in one's own life.

Core Truth: Our Lord Himself said: "Greater love has no one than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." (John 15:13). In a day when true patriotism has become suspect in too many people's minds, love of one's country and its cherished freedoms remains a potent force in the hearts of those who from our nation's earliest days have been willing to give their own 'last full measure' that we might be free. And it is their sacrifices and memories that we honor this day, and for which we thank Almighty God!

Core Truth: If God allowed us to go back in time and do things over again what might we do differently and what would we do exactly the same?

Core Truth: Prayer is not a trite quick-fix answer, but a conversation with God that unlocks the power of possibility.

Core Truth: With Christ as our loving Shepherd, we can be certain that whatever He allows to happen during our life’s journey will always be with our very best interests and ultimate blessing in mind.

Core Truth: Just as with Israel of old, when God delivered us from the Egyptian bondage of our sins He did not intend that we should then wander aimlessly and unprotected on our journey home. Rather, our Good Shepherd offers us His personal presence and protection for every step along the way.

Core Truth: Living in close fellowship with God provides strength for our journey here on earth, gives meaning to the dry places and times of suffering in our lives, and leads us to a brighter hope of that day when God Himself shall wipe away all tears from our eyes.

Core Truth: There is great blessing to the person who chooses to live life in fellowship with the living God.

Core Truth: Since the Bible frequently speaks of God’s anger, it would appear that not all anger is wrong. In fact, since we are actually called to imitate God, there must be times when we are supposed to be angry. However, the key is to understand the difference between righteous anger and learn how to express our anger in ways that glorify God and help rather than hurt others.

Core Truth: Trust is a matter of choice and choosing to trust that God loves us and will always keep His promises is an important key to our success in life.

Core Truth: Our freedom in Christ and the Holy Spirit’s enabling gives us the power to choose those things that can make our lives truly successful in the coming year.
